Regarding Lynn C. Huffman. Lynn Huffman was the founding music director at Bensenville High School (later renamed Fenton High), and also founded the village's Municipal Band. In 1962, the village park at Irving Park and Church roads was renamed after Huffman; at some point the park was renamed Veterans Park, but the plaque in Huffman's honor remains, a few steps from the veterans memorial.
