The Muirhead Cabin
This log cabin was situated on the McIntyre Farm, Osprey Township near the village of McIntyre. It was built around the mid 1800s and lived in until around 1930.
Doors, windows and roof have been replaced and a supporting beam placed under the ceiling otherwise the structure remains unchanged.
It is typical of hundreds of log houses in the province a hundred or more years ago.
Gavin Muirhead, who immigrated from Glasgow, Scotland built the cabin in 1843. The Muirhead family lived in it for 93 years.
