Ce square est un rendez-vous central du village du canal de l'Ourcq. Il s'organise de manière géométrique autour du kiosque à musique, qui s'anime quand viennent les beaux jours. On y joue, on s'y repose sur de nombreux bancs ou se promène à l'ombre de ses arbres.

Le nom de ce jardin rend hommage à l'artiste Serge Reggiani (1922-2004). Né en Italie, fuyant le fascisme avec sa famille, il devient Parisien en 1931. Débutant au théâtre auprès de Jean Cocteau et Jean-Paul Sartre, il rejoint ensuite le cinéma. En 1952, il joue avec Simone Signoret dans Casque d'Or de Jean Becker, qui devient un mythe. Il est un acteur reconnu quand il devient chanteur au milieu des années 60. Son engagement, son interprétation intense des textes signés entre autres par Boris Vian ou Georges Moustaki séduisent la jeunesse. Il est aujourd'hui considéré comme l'une des figures majeures de la chanson française du XXe siècle.

This square is a central meeting place in the village of the Canal de l'Ourcq. It is geometrically organized around the bandstand, which comes alive when the weather is nice. People play there, rest on the many benches or walk in the shade of its trees.

The name of this garden pays homage to the artist Serge Reggiani (1922-2004). Born in Italy, fleeing fascism with his family, he became a Parisian in 1931. Beginning in the theater with Jean Cocteau and Jean-Paul Sartre, he then joined the cinema. In 1952, he played with Simone Signoret in Casque d'Or by Jean Becker, which became a myth. He was a recognized actor when he became a singer in the mid-60s. His commitment, his intense interpretation of the texts signed among others by Boris Vian or Georges Moustaki seduced the youth.
