William Henry Harrison
On this site stood the private residence of William Henry Harrison, 1882-1955, and the office of Harrison Realty Company.
Mr. Harrison was Pasadena's first black real estate broker and was a pioneer in eliminating segregation and discrimination in the ownership and enjoyment of property by blacks, latinos and asians. Through his untiring efforts and participation in numerous business and civic activities, he was a significant influence in the city, created many opportunities in housing and employment, and was a major factor in the improvement of the quality of life in Pasadena.
Dedicated to the principle of equality for all this 6th day of July, 1989.
