1. Eli Mann Cairn Marker

Inscription. This cairn was first erected in 1935 on the farm of Eli Mann by the Boy Scouts of St. Thomas. Eli had hosted all of the scout camps and activities on his farm for many years. In 1935, he died as a result of a goring by his bull and the scouts built this cairn to honour fim. In 2006, it was on the verge of falling over the cliff in Lake Erie. With the co-operation of the current land owners, the cairn was moved to this site by the Sparta Scouting Groups and rededicated.

2. Eli Mann Cairn Marker
was granted a royal charter throughout the Commonwealth by King George V. The Canadian General Council of the Boy Scout Association, incorporated 12 June 1914, was a branch of the Boy Scout Association until 30 October 1946 when it became an independent member of the Boy Scout World Conference.
