Inscription.
Erected 1895 by Charter Members
August Sandberg, Lars A. Hanson, John Hall, all buried here. First service Christmas Eve 1895. Communion was served. Candles lighted the tree. Hymns were sung to accompaniment of guitar and mandolin a glorious night, a milestone achieve, a church home established.

On March 30, 1895 - 14 members from the Fergus Falls & Oscar Baptist Churches organized themselves to start the congregation of the Friberg Swedish Baptist Church

The meeting opened by the reading of Act 2:37-47.

Rev John Hallstrom, of Worthington, was Chairman and Rev. A.G. Holm was Secretary.

Church Officers elected were:
August Sandberg, Chairman; C. Sandberg, Secretary; Lars Hanson, Deacon; J.S. Wenstrom, Treasurer; A. Sandberg, Sunday School Superintendent; J.G. Wenstrom, Sunday School Treasurer
Mrs. Lars Hanson, President of the Ladies Aid Society
Mrs. C. Sandberg, Treasurer of the Ladies Aid Society.
They also had an active Young Peoples Society.
