Inscription. The fishing weir, a brilliant innovation for enhancing fishing productivity, has been used for centuries to efficiently fish. The Lenape used this method as well. Constructed in the heart of the creek, it took the form of a "V" shape made of rocks. Community members, primarily men, would navigate canoes downstream, herding the fish along with them. Upon reaching the weir, children stationed on its rocky structure would swiftly spear the fish using specialized arrowheads, ensuring immediate capture. We have built a makeshift weir in our creek. Can you spot it?
