Inscription.

The homes in this circa 1910 photograph were located directly across the street from where you now stand. A lone horse and buggy travels the dirt street, paving only being fully underway in 1913. The steeple on the right side, further down the street sits atop Saint James Episcopal Church. This is Schuylkill Haven's oldest church building, having been erected in 1839. It's bell was cast by the same foundry which cast the Liberty Bell.
