Inscription.
Original Owner: William Thomas Kennedy (1865 - d?) was vice-president of a dry goods company in Knoxville. In 1928, he transferred ownership to his wife, Maude, but she died in 1929.

Other owners: William and Maude's daughter, Kathleen, and her husband William Reed, became owners of the cabin until 1976. She died in 1984. At some time the lease was transferred to Francina Cook Kennedy family, hence the name Cook Cabin.
