1. Cabin #10: Ashe / Baumann Marker
Inscription. Original Owner: James Joseph (JJ) Ashe (1861-1946) was president and manager of Ashe Hosiery Mill was a sponsor and delegate to the three Appalachian Expos. In October 1919, the underwear and hosiery southern knitting manufactures met in Knoxville, and the city became known as "The Underwear Capital of the World."

Other owners: In 1916, Benjamin Dickenson Jones from Sweetwater, Tennessee bought the cabin. After his death, Joseph Frederick Baumann bought the cabin in 1931. His dad and brother were part of the Baumann and Baumann Architects Firm in Knoxville. They designed the second Appalachian Clubhouse. It remained in the family until their lease ended in 1992.
