1. Cabin #9: Farr / Galyon Marker
Inscription. Original owner: Cabin was built by R.W. Farr of Knoxville. Other than a newspaper article in 1911 on Elkmont stating he was the owner, no more information is known about the Farr family.

Other owners: Eugene Galyon Sr (1882-1936) president of Galyon Lumber Company bought the cabin after 1911. His company opened in the early 1870s in Knoxville. The company provided financial backing for the three Appalachian Expos in Knoxville. The cabin ownership stayed in the family until the leases expired. Hallie Galyon was the last.
