1. Bazentin Marker
Inscription.  

The German second line ran to the south of the two villages of [Greater and Little] Bazentin and formed a salient between Puri่res and Longueval Attacked at dawn on 14th July 1916, the villages suffered ferocious German counter-attacks until they were secure in the hands of the British on 17th July, with heavy losses.

A crucifix facing the road to Bazentin-le-Grand is now the only trace of the old village.

Bazentin-le-Petit was also the birthplace of the famous naturalist Lamarck (1744-1829).

Face เ la route qui m่ne เ Bazentin-le-Grand, le crucifix est le seul vestige de l'ancien village.

Bazentin-le-Petit est aussi le village natal du c้l่bre naturaliste Lamarck (1744-1829).
