Flora
Marlana Adele Vassar, 2023
Vassar is a Pittsburgh artist whose work weaves symbolism, surrealism, and storytelling into subjects that are both intimately personal and inviting of interpretation. In this sculptural work, she references the mythology, natural elements, and stylistic traditions of the park's historical art nouveau sculptures in the creation of a distinctly modern and individualized aesthetic.
