A five-storey tenement house from 1899 with shops and restaurants on the ground floor. Here, among other things, the restaurant "Klosteret" has been open since 1992. In an apartment on the second floor, during the first years of the war, the Jewish merchant David Goldberg (b. 1879), who had a tobacco shop on the ground floor, lived. He was married to Anna (b. Bojarin 1879). They had four children. Two of them lived with their parents in Fredensborgveien: Marie (b. 1903) and Gustav (b. 1917), who was an apprentice. 2. Marie Goldberg stolperstein - wide view
The stolperstein for Marie Goldberg is one of a familial group of four set in the pavement in front of the building.
Rosa on 20 November 1942, the others on 26 November on the Donau. David Goldberg, his wife and daughter Marie were killed in the gas chamber in Auschwitz shortly after their arrival on 1 December. Gustav was killed during forced labor on December 24. Four stolpersteins have been placed here in their memory. Alexander was deported on November 20. He died in Auschwitz on January 15, 1943. Bernhard made it to England and served in the Navy. His wife Makka and Alexander's wife Eva made it to Sweden.
