1. William Taylor House Marker
Inscription. Queen Anne style bungalow built for William Henry Taylor (1817-1887), painter with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, Civil War veteran, Sixth Battalion Armory Guards, Company F; and wife, Mary J. Watkins (1822-1885), native of Brunswick County, NC. Remained in family until 1894. In 1979, this was one of six residences in the block saved for preservation and restored by Historic Wilmington Foundation, Inc.
