1. Maria McKoy House Marker
Inscription. Neoclassical Revival style house built as rental property for Maria Brown McKoy (1855-1942), widow of Robert Hassell McKoy (1855-1901), attorney. Purchased in 1943 by Frank Lem (1916-1990), owner of the New China Restaurant, and wife, Velma Walker (1919-1975), native of Columbus County. She operated a beauty salon here during the 1950s and 1960s.
