1. Lane House Marker

Inscription. Craftsman style house built for Joseph S. Lane (1874-1940), Spanish-American War veteran, City of Wilmington Chief of Police from 1924-1936; and wife, Grace Guthrie (1882-1955). The house remained in the family for fifty-five years. Converted to a duplex in 1958.
