1. Drusilla Hendricks Marker

Inscription. Drusilla Hendricks depended on her 16-year-old son, William, to help care for her family of six. Her husband, James, had been partially paralyzed during a battle in Missouri. Since the Church needed able-bodied young men to march with the battalion, she let William go and trusted that the Lord would preserve their family. She gathered up her courage and told William, "I have held you back, but if you want to go I shall hold you no longer."

Erected 2024 by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
