The house at Louisenstrasse 80/82, then known as the Hotel Augusta, was set up in 1916 as a military hospital for the wounded of World War I according to the wishes of the founder, hotel owner and benefactor of the poor, Gustav Weigand (1840-1928). It then served as a health clinic for war invalids until 1977.
