A prime example of the town houses of wealthy citizens: initially used as the official residence of the sub-bailiff, the stately half-timbered house has housed a pharmacy since 1689. After the town fire, the property was rebuilt in 1663 (inscription) on the foundations from around 1520-30. A late Gothic window frame is still visible. As the year on the back shows, the building, named Gaupp’s Pharmacy after the then owner, was rebuilt and expanded in 1793. In 1910, the building was largely rebuilt as a residential and commercial building - a pharmacy is still operated here today.(Submitted on January 20, 2025.)
