Inscription.  Italian:

English:
The Temple of the Dioscuri was projected to celebrate the victory of the Romans over the Latin League at the Battle of Lake Regillus in 499 BC by the winner of the battle, Aulus Postumius Albinus, and was later built by his son from 484 BC. Its position in the centre of the square, next to the Fountain of Giuturna, is not accidental: at the fountain, in fact, according to legend, the Dioscuri, divine twins, miraculously appeared on the day of the battle, watering their horses. The three Corinthian columns on the podium, among the few in the Roman Forum to have crossed the millennia without collapsing, as well as the frieze and the architectural elements preserved around it, date back to the reconstruction commissioned by the Emperor Augustus on behalf of his adopted son Tiberius in 6 AD.

Punti Luce nel Parco (Points of Light in the Park) is a project that through the restoration of the many architectural fragments scattered in the Parco, aims to help visitors better understand their monumental contexts.
