Fleury, completely destroyed in 1916 during the First World War, and Hohenlinden in Bavaria, the scene of a battle in the Napoleonic Wars in 1800: two communities with a great Franco-German military heritage. In the spirit of lasting reconciliation, they planted a linden tree together, the tree of the people.
