Once upon a time...
In 1857 Jean Neuhaus opened a pharmacy in the prestigious Queen’s Gallery. To delight his customers, Jean Neuhaus covered his medicines in a layer of fine chocolate. In 1912, his grandson evolved this into the Belgian praline as we know it today. Chocolate filled with delight instead of medicine.

Today... Our Maîtres Chocolatiers, inspired by their own cherished recollections, have crafted three delightful Belgian chocolate stars. En 1857, Jean Neuhaus ouvre une pharmacie dans la prestigieuse Galerie de la Reine. Pour le plus grand bonheur de ses clients, Jean Neuhaus recouvre ses médicaments du meilleur chocolat. En 1912, Jean Neuhaus Jr. développa l’idée originale de son grand-père et remplace les medicaments par des douceurs, pour créer le premier chocolat fourré, qu’il baptise “praline” petit-fils fait évoluer cette dernière pour en faire la praline belge telle que nous la connaissons

In 1857 opende Jean Neuhaus een apotheek in de prestigieuze Koninginnegalerij Tot grote vreugde van zijn klanten bedekte Jean Neuhaus zijn medicijnen met een fijn laagje chocolate. In 1912, ontwikkelde zijn kleinzoon dit verder tot de Belgische praline zoals we die vandaag kennen: chocolade gevuld met een heerlijke vulling in plaats van met medicijnen.
