On the eighth of December in the year One Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty-Eight, schools were created in this district by the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre-Dame. Re-established in the year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten under the name 'Schools of Sainte-Sophie', they were transferred to Luxembourg-Weimershof in September One Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventy-Two.
