1. The Hanging Rock Mineral Spring Marker
The properties of the water are sulphur, magnesium and iron, which are common to chalybeate springs. The mineral spring once known for its healing water became the site of a resort, a watering place of antebellum days, an inn, cabins, bathhouses, a racetrack, a billiard hall, a ten pin alley and a store. Operated circa 1850-1865
