1. D.A. McGregor Hospital Marker
Inscription. On this site stood the D.A. McGregor Hospital. Opened in 1913 by its namesake, it was the only hospital in Utah, south of Salt Lake City. D.A. McGregor, M.D., F.A.C.S. was joined by his sons A.W. McGregor, M.D. and L.W. McGregor, M.D. in 1936. His grandson, M.K. McGregor, M.D. joined them in 1951. The forty-five room hospital was equipped with a modern operating room, X-ray department, maternity & delivery rooms, as well as physicians' offices and examining rooms. It continued to operate until 1952. This family of doctors collectively provided 142 years of dedicated health care to the people of Southern Utah.
