Inscription. This cannon was donated to our post by the Department of Defense in 1949. It was developed by the US Army for use as a tank destroyer during WWII. Western Avenue for over 60 years. The cannon was refurbished and placed in its new home in 2011. It was rededicated for all our fallen comrades on May 27, 2012.
