The Old Bakery & Emporium's rotating mural wall honors the past, present and future of the Old Bakery, celebrating the diverse stories of individuals and communities that have shared Austin's history. This first mural in the series explores the Indigenous heritage of Austin and the Swedish legacy of the Old Bakery. The design prominently features two Native American women, whose braids are intertwined and filled with flora, fauna, and the Swedish national flower, the giktgräs, illustrating the beauty and wisdom that are passed down between generations. Hummingbirds, believed to be a representation of love, joy and rebirth, and a protective swallow enrich the symbolism. The background is adorned with a traditional Swedish textile pattern, blending the heritage of both cultures.El mural giratorio de Old Bakery & Emporium honra el pasado, presente y futuro de Old Bakery, celebrando las diversas historias de los individuos y las comunidades que han compartido las memorias de Austin. Este primer mural de la serie explora el patrimonio indígena de Austin y el legado sueco de Old Bakery. El diseño presenta destacadamente dos mujeres nativas americanas con su cabello trenzado y entrelazado, acunando flora y fauna entre lo que se aprecia la flor nacional sueca, el giktgräs, para ilustrar la belleza y sabiduría que se transmiten entre las generaciones. Los colibríes que, según la creencia, representan el amor, la alegría y el renacimiento y que junto con una golondrina protectora enriquecen el simbolismo.
