Shrewsbury Unitarian Church
This church was founded in 1662. The first Meeting House was built in 1691.
Destroyed by Jacobite riots in 1715. Rebuilt by King George I Govt., who at the time presented the painting of the Royal Coat of Arms which hangs above the pulpit.
The Italianate facade was added in 1839.
Charles Darwin worshipped here when young.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge also has links with the church.
