Nov. 10, 1913 This picture is of what is now called the Claysville Hotel. The sign in front of the building indicates the name of Central Hotel on the left side of the building. The door to the left of the large window indicates (hotel entrance). there was a sign on the right front door indicating (bank). The building in the back right has a sign on it with the words "pan handle".
The Claysville areas Preservation and Revitalisation Initiative (CAPRI), in conjuntion with the Claysville Business Association, erected this town clock in September 2007. The names on this monument are in lasting recognition of the generous supporters of the clock project and in honor or memory of beloved members of the community.
