Inscription.
In the 1920's JD. and his wife, Byrd Hinkle began operations of a General Store and Lumber Yard on East Main and Lumber Streets. From this beginning West Virginia Split Rail was created.

It has become a major partner with retailers, Home Depot, Lowe's, and 84 Lumber since the 1970's.

The timber industry is a great environmental partner as 100% of the lumber and logs are converted to split rail fence, packaging material, Kingsford charcoal and wood pellets.

The two plants that are situated along the beautiful Buckhannon River on this 10 acre site use a combination of all timber species to include poplar, oak, maple, locust and pine.

Erected by West Virginia Split Rail.
