1. Mill Stone Marker

Inscription. This Mill Stone is half of a pair of Mill Stones, one positioned on top of the other, used for grinding grain into flour for bread and feed for animals. During war time, the Mill Stones were the first thing that the enemy tried to destroy - "without food no soldier can fight". In case of attack, the Waldensians would hide their Mill Stones in a secret deep part of a creek.
