History:
The Sea Dart in the DVHAA collection, Bureau #135763 is an experimental aircraft.

Designed as a water-based fighter, it took off and landed on a pair of retractable hydro-skis. Underpowered and subject to heavy vibration during takeoff, the aircraft was difficult to control on the water. The program was cancelled in 1956. Five were built, four survive.

Bureau #135763 was the ground test vehicle, and never flew.

This aircraft is on loan from the National Museum of Naval Aviation, Pensacola, FL

Erected by Delaware Valley Historical Aircraft Association.
