Inscription. The "Let's Play, Pocatello" mural was created to honor three sisters — Faye, Naida, and Ruth Yost — for their significant contributions in the evolution of women's sports in Pocatello.

In their youth, the Yost sisters played on neighborhood softball teams. Following World War II, girls’ teams didn't exist so Faye and Ruth joined boy’s teams. When Coach Verl Thornock decided to establish girl's fastpitch softball in Pocatello, Faye and Ruth eagerly played any position. Their enthusiastic example inspired many other girls to participate in the game. A new era of softball in Pocatello was born, with men's and women's fastpitch softball becoming exceptionally popular under the lights of Rainey Park.

The three sisters would try any sport and loved many. They consistently sought opportunities to share their passion for sports with other women. In addition to softball, Faye and Ruth excelled at golf and skiing. Naida was an exceptional swimmer and she enjoyed tennis, and golf. Ruth was a physical education teacher and coach for School District 25 for a number of years, a role that also enabled her to lead girls to sports.

Naida, and Ruth Yost believed that women should have the same opportunities as men to play sports. Their belief became an impetus for Pocatello to become a sports center for all.
