1. Hoyle Family House Marker

Inscription. Possibly the oldest remaining structure in Gaston County, the house is on the site where Peiter Heyl was granted a land patent in May 1754. It features a rare corner post log construction. Site Of Hoylesville, first Federal post office in present day Gaston County. Home of "Rich" Andrew Hoyle, political, economic, religious leader. Purchased by Hoyle Family Homestead Association in 1991.
