Pecan Tree
This monarch pecan tree was planted in 1892 by Gottlieb Bayer. The trunk has a circumference of over 14 feet. The height is estimated to be 70 feet. Limbs extend 60 feet in all directions.
Three smaller trees grew from the pecan nuts of the original tree.
Another small pecan tree was planted at the dedication of the park and pioneer farmer statue in October 2016.
