Inscription. Performing in both silent and talking movies in her long film career, Almeda Fowler was chosen for a coveted role by the legendary Al Reeves to be a star in his traveling vaudeville troupe known as "The Big Beauty Show."

2. Almeda Fowler
child of 6 years of age. Almeda Fowler began her acting career in 1904 by becoming a part of Al Reeves’ Big Beauty Show. This was a very popular touring burlesque show. It consisted of 51 girls performing wearing “pretty costumes.” Because of her beauty and talent, Fowler advanced in the troupe to become the leading act.
