Kloosterpoort (1607)
Voormalige toegang naar het Oude Vrouwenhuis. Nadat het Oude Vrouwenhuis wegens geldgebrek in 1639 werd gesloten, was in de vleugel aan de Wisselstraat tot 1884 de Bank van Lening of 'Lommerd' gevestigd, waaraan de Wisselstraat zijn naam ontleent.

“Convent” Gate (1607)
Former entrance to the Oude Vrouwenhuis (“Old Women's Home”). After the Old Women's Home was closed due to lack of funds in 1639, the wing on Wisselstraat housed the Pawn Shop or 'Pawnbroker' until 1884, from which Wisselstraat takes its name.

The Kloosterpoort was built as an entrance to the Oude-vrouwenhuis. The gate and the wing were built in 1606-1607 and are the oldest part of this complex. After the Oude-Vrouwenhuis was closed, this part of the building was set up as a Pawn Shop. The Wisselstraat gets its name from this function.

The Kloosterpoort is constructed from blocky posts with a semicircular arch and a small head in the keystone. In the frieze, the frame above the arch, we see lion heads and a year indication. Above that is

a large relief. This originally contained a representation of two old women sitting on two chairs. To replace the weathered relief, a contemporary design was made in 1993 by artist Carolus Diederich and sculptor Jan Hillens.
