Inscription.
This 10-ton Euclid dump truck could haul 6½ cubic yards of material. It worked at New Riverside Ochre, a local barite mine, and was used to haul ore to a railroad dumping ramp. The ore was then transferred into open-top rail cars called gondolas.

Originally produced by the Euclid Company of Ohio, Euclid trucks were very popular dump trucks from the 1920s to the 1950s, when the company was bought by GM. Now owned by Hitachi, the Euclid name was phased out and is no longer used.
