Butternut Trail - Length: .83 mile loop
Difficulty Level: Moderate (steep hills with rocky cliffs)
This trail takes you through the Beech-Maple forest to a small cave area. Rock outcroppings and mature trees make this a special trail.

Doris Duke Woods Trail - Length: 1 mile loop
Difficulty Level: Moderate (incline uphill)
Doris Duke Trail winds through a 180-acre deciduous woodland, named after the tobacco heiress. She acquired the timber rights for the woodlot following Louis Bromfield's death in 1956.

Jungle Brook Trail - Length: .70 mile loop
Difficulty Level: Moderate
Discover a trail named for its lush flora in lowland areas. Experience undisturbed habitat with wildflowers, herbs, and wildlife. Traverse wet sections on a boardwalk.

Pleasant Valley Bridle Trail - Length: 7 miles
Difficulty Level: Moderate (some steep hills and stream crossings)
This trail winds through scenic overlooks, old-growth forests, and features winding streams, rock outcroppings, and a waterfall/rock shelter. Open to horses and pedestrians, it spans from 1079 feet (at the river crossing) to 1390 feet (Horseman's Area).

the woods to reach the falls. The return trip is downhill. Begin at Pugh Cabin or the Working Farm parking lot. Follow the gravel drive uphill from Pugh Cabin, where the trail becomes dirt. Watch for a steep footpath on the right leading to a ravine. Exercise caution, especially in winter. The waterfall is most impressive in spring and resembles a recess cave in Ohio's hill country.

On a tour of the historic home of Louis Bromfield with an Ohio State Park Naturalist you will learn how Malabar Farm was founded including: how it was connected to Hollywood and how it came to be an Ohio State Park; the life and career of Louis Bromfield; and the original artwork and furnishings. Tours last approximately 90 minutes. Not recommended for small children.
