1. New Haven Scenes Marker
A 1907 photo of the church behind this poster - Dwight Place Church (Congregational) with taller towers. As of 2013, the church is called St. Pauls U.A.M.E. The towers were shortened for structural reasons at some point in the past.
The view east on Chapel St near Day St, circa 1910, Immanuel Baptist Church (now demolished) is on the right. On the same site now stands Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church at 1324 Chapel.
The view looking west up Chapel St at the crossing with York St, in 1908. The building on the near left survives. The first building on the right was demolished and replaced by Rudolph Hall, Yale School of Architecture.
A postcard of the Midtown Motor Inn, now The Study at Yale. The card dvertises five jazz concerts, featuring George Coleman, Thad Jones,Zoot Sims, Billy Watrous, and Kai Winding, appearing in early 1973.
