Katie (Nageotte) Moon. Track and Field Student-Athlete. Moon competed on Ashland University's Track and Field Teams as a junior and senior. She won a pair of NCAA Division II Pole Vault Championships - one indoors and one outdoors in 2013. Moon was a three-time NCAA Dvision II All-American. She holds program records both indoors (4.27 meters/14-0) and outdoors (4.44 meters/14-6.75). Post-graduation, she became one of the most recognizable female athletes in the country and one of top women's pole vaulters in the United States and the world. A member of Team USA, she won a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo and a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. She was a gold medalist at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships and a silver medalist at the 2019 Pan-American Games. Moon earned entry into the USTFCCA NCAA Division II Hall of Fame in 2022. She is also a member of the 2024 Ashland University Hall of Fame Class.
