Go luath sa 16ú aois a tógadh é. Athchóiriodh é 1930 nuair a baineadh leas as mar bhrainse be Bhanch na Mumhan agus Laighean. Seo é a bhfuil an fáil anois de na hárais mhaorga a ófhág clú ar Ghaillimh go raibh sé ar na bairce ab fhearr tógáil in Éirinn. Ar na ballaí tá marmais Anraio VII, na Línseach agus Chearaltach Chill Dara.

Built, early 16th century. Renovated 1930 when it was adapted as a branch of the Munster & Leinster Bank. The last surviving example of the stately buildings which made Galway one of the best built of Irish towns. Among its sculptured decorations are the arms of Henry VII, the Lynches, and the Fitzgeralds of Kildare.
