1. Founders' Common Marker

Inscription.
This area was purchased by the Millersport Lions in 1954 as the first plots of land for the year-round Lions Park and permanent site of the annual Sweet Corn Festival. Before this purchase the festivals were held on the west end of Chautauqua Blvd. in front of the K. of P. Hall near downtown Millersport. Listed below are the charter members that were the movers and dreamers that made the commitment to form this organization in this community. All that this festival has achieved and the Lions Club accomplish through this annual fund raiser are in no small way a result of the farsightedness of these "founders." We, the Lions of Millersport, Ohio are proud to look back to remember and honor these men that added to our community heritage, at the same time it gives us the opportunity to look forward to the challenges that are put before us, hopefully with the same wisdom and enthusiasm that was exemplified through these men. Therefore, we take great pride in naming this area after them in honor of the work that they accomplished. may all that visit this area become aware of their service to their fellow man.
