C. Martin Bomberger
If you would seek his monument, look about you!
To paraphrase Sir Christopher Wren's epitaph, if you would seek the monument to C. Martin Bomberger, look about you! Although many have helped down through the years, C. Martin Bomberger, Jeanette area newspaper editor, publisher and historian, as first the secretary and later chairman of the former Bushy Run Battlefield Commission until his death in 1950, was the most instrumental in the development of Bushy Run Battlefield Park as an appropriately marked, reforested recreational and state historic site. This commemorative marker is erected in small appreciation for his tireless efforts.
Erected 1971 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
