Inscription. The ornithopod tracks in front of you are likely attributed to a dinosaur similar to Iguanodon. These herbivorous dinosaurs often walked on two feet, but had the ability to use their front feet for walking, as well. The tracks in this series have a step length of 43-45 inches (110-115 cm) and they are about 11 inches (30 cm) long and wide. Skeletal remains of dinosaurs, such as these, have not yet been discovered within the Ruby Ranch Member of the Cedar Mountain Formation where we stand. However, similar dinosaurs have been discovered in rocks that are geologically slightly older and younger. Tracks like these help our understanding of this long vanished fauna.
