Burglund Supermarket & Lodge Hall
The Burglund Supermarket was owned by several Black businessmen in the Burglund community. The store served as a primary source of food for area residents.
The supermarket included a meat market and employed a number of resident of the surrounding communities. Above the two-story supermarket were several rooms which were used as a meeting hall for a Masonic group and other community groups. During the Burglund High School walkout in October 1961, the Masonic meeting room was used as a briefing station for the march down to the McComb City Hall.
