1. Frances Dee Marker

Inscription. Frances Dee was not only a star in her own right, but was proudly the wife of cowboy great Joel McCrea. Her credits are impressive, to say the least. They include such films as, "A Man Betrayed" with John Wayne, "Coast Guard" with Randolph Scott, and "If I Were A King" with Ronald Coleman. It is inevitable that Joel and Frances would periodically be cast together. Two of their classic films together were "Wells Fargo" and "Four Faces West" in 1937 and 1948. Respectfully, Joel and Frances spent considerable time here and were warmly welcomed each time they found themselves on location in Kanab. It was a glorious time in Kanab Film History to host Joel and Frances and long will they be remembered by the millions of admirers.
