1. "Joanne Dru" Marker
Inscription. Joanne burst onto the scene with her role in "Red River" in 1948 with John Wayne. She so impressed Director John Ford, he quickly signed her for "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" and "Wagon Master". Riding high on these credits, Joanne was in demand and in 1954 she was starring in "South West Passage", here in Kanab. Her supporting cast included Rod Cameron, John Ireland and John Dehner.
