Cedar Point in Sandusky in Erie County, Ohio — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
Rose Stein
12/17/1952-3/11/2021
For nearly 35 years, Rose was a fixture at Cedar Point, creating unique, hand-crafted candles in Rose's Candle Shoppe on the Frontier Trail.
She was a talented artist who enjoyed interacting with the many guests that visited the Candle Shoppe each day. Whether helping children dip multi-colored candles, or sculpting sleek shapes on a lathe, Rose was not only passionate about candle making, but also sharing her interest and knowledge with all who visited.
Making candles by hand was not an easy job, especially when the weather turned warm. But Rose always loved the joy on the faces of guests as they created a personalized souvenir they could treasure forever.
We remember and honor Rose, her Candle Shoppe and the many memories she helped create at Cedar Point.
